I’ve been hunting around for a few items to spice up my office desk and, while I don’t get “real” mail much anymore, I just couldn’t resist picking this up. This is a letter opener by J. L. Lawson & Co. and while it’s a bespoke item, the price isn’t actually all that bad. I thought this slick little letter opener would be of interest to our readers here so let us know what you think of it.

The letter opener is manually machined from solid brass and measures 4 1/4″ x 1/2″ in diameter. The sheath is sewn by hand from veg tan leather and fits the letter opener like a glove. This item is only $95 but for a measly $5 more you can have it personalized to you liking.
