Coronavirus Spikes Private Jet Requests Nine Fold

It seems UHNW travellers are getting stranded as private jet operators say no to travel as the coronavirus halts air travel. Reports from private jet operators are coming in that they are turning away clients as travel bans restrict their ability to operate. With our work over at Butiq Escapes, we’ve had a huge influx of inquiries for jet charters and we know first hand we’ve had to not only turn away people due to the high demand, but because of those travel bans.

These are truly interesting times and I suspect the demand for private jets will continue to rise as people look to head back home and be in with family. The CEO of JetSetGo recently gave an interview and she said that most of their enquiries from their India clientele were all essentially for one-time flights back home. With those flight bans in play now, she also went on to say that “87 per cent of scheduled bookings with her company have been canceled” which is pretty wild.

Taking a look at PrivateFly, we can see they’re also seeing an influx of traffic flooding their website in the past month or so. Another company I know well in terms of working against them in the past for a client is EvoJets, they as well are seeing a major push according to SEMRush tools. A lot of customers are going to get quite angry during this time and it’s anyone’s guess as to when this will all be over.
